RobotCoders is where physical computing comes alive. Build and program robots using Lego Mindstorms, Arduino, micro:bit and many more platforms. From block-coding beginners to AI-powered intelligent systems — this is hands-on engineering for all.
RobotCoders is all about getting hands-on with real robotics hardware. No watching videos, no scrolling through tutorials — you'll be building, wiring, coding, and testing from the very first session.
Whether you're 8 years old and picking up your first Lego Mindstorms brick, or you're 16 and diving into Arduino and sensor integration, there's a path through RobotCoders that fits your level and interests.
We use a range of robotics platforms so you can find what excites you — and progress through them as your skills grow.
The perfect starting point. Build with Lego, program with blocks. Motors, sensors, and endless builds make robotics instantly accessible and fun.
A pocket-sized programmable computer. Learn coding fundamentals with LEDs, buttons, and sensors. Bridge the gap from block-coding to real code.
The world's most popular microcontroller platform. Wire up circuits, code in C++, and build robots from scratch with motors, sensors and servos.
A full Linux computer the size of a credit card. Program in Python, add cameras, connect to networks — build smart, connected robots.
Teach your robots to see, recognise and decide. Computer vision, neural networks, and autonomous navigation for the most advanced learners.
We're always adding new platforms and technologies. ESP32, ROS, 3D printing for custom parts — if it's hands-on and teaches real skills, it's in.
RobotCoders has a clear progression path. Start wherever you are, move at your own pace, and earn badges and certificates along the way.
Your first sessions. Build with Lego Mindstorms or micro:bit, learn block-coding basics, and get your robot moving. No experience needed.
Move beyond pre-built kits. Start wiring circuits, adding sensors, and writing your first text-based code. Understand how hardware and software connect.
Design and build your own robots from scratch. Program in Python or C++, integrate multiple sensors, and create robots that respond to their environment.
The advanced level. AI and machine learning, computer vision, autonomous navigation, and intelligent decision-making. Build robots that think.
We run regular sessions on Sundays at the Bromsgrove All Saint's Church Hall. Each session is one hour with occasional 2.5-hour special masterclasses for those who want to learn and do more. Masterclasses are designed to inspire learners to consider a career in STEAM fields. Sessions begin from 1:30 PM – but be sure to check the booking page for the exact time of each session.
All equipment is provided. Simply book, turn up, get stuck in, and have fun.
